Many thanks to the Hamilton Community for their continued support this Christmas season. With the help of CHCH News, PacEx, our official Sleigh Service, as well as our sponsoring drop off locations: Canadian Tire, Staples, Curves, Insurance Brokers Association of Hamilton as well as the Hamilton Police Service locations, City Kidz has been able to reach and exceed our goals of giving 3,000 children the Gift of Christmas!
We are still accepting toys over the Christmas holidays and will be directing them towards our Operation Birthday Child program, a program that remembers each individual child’s birthday and reminds them that they are unique and special and deserve a special day to celebrate them! Thank you again for your continued support.
“Don’t worry, I won’t ever forget what you’ve done for me.”
- Kendra, City Kidz kid, Age 9
The City Kidz Gift of Christmas was launched in 1995, and was designed to assist our children and families by alleviating some of the personal pressures often experienced during the winter holidays and still celebrate the Christmas season.
This year our campaign kicks off Friday November 20th with the goal of reaching 3,000 children in our community!
As part of the Gift of Christmas, City Kidz™ Saturday Christmas parties will be held on Dec 12th and 19th, and every child that participates receives a stocking filled with candies and toys, a wrapped Christmas gift, turkey wraps and drinking boxes. Your donation will help to bring countless smiles to the faces of Hamilton children this holiday season as well as bring hope into their hearts and into this community.
If you are interested in running a fundraiser or toy drive, please visit the Fundraising page or the Toy Drive page.
There are also many volunteer opportunities available, if you are interested please see the Gift of Christmas Volunteer page.
I can tell you that the excitement each child will experience as they receive their stocking and gift, may just be the best gift you receive this year!
With your help we CAN give the gift of Christmas to 3,000 Children!
