Cause Marketing has become an effective way for businesses and corporations to become involved with non-profit organizations. Cause related marketing refers to a type of marketing involving the cooperative efforts of a “for profit” business and a non-profit organization for mutual benefit. It has been these types of relationships that have helped City Kidz™ to reach many of it’s goals and objectives. As well, businesses receive the “good-will” benefit of associating their business with a charitable organization, through branding appearing on our websites, vehicles, literature, as well as radio and television media.

“I still remember vividly the Saturday I visited City Kidz for the first time last year, met with
Susan Lamont and had the privilege of partaking in her tour of the City Kidz program. I too have always fostered the belief that every child is special.
Watching the City Kidz leaders with the children that day, watching the smiles on their faces, the energy in the room, the feeling of kids belonging was all too overwhelming. I had trouble watching through my tear-filled eyes. I had a lump in my throat as large as a watermelon. I thought very hard about what I could do to make a difference, how could I give something of myself to the many kids out there needing guidance, mentoring, love and encouragement. My vision is that my books will provide children with guidance, love and encouragement through my words and creative writing. My books will be a safe place for children to explore, find adventure, fine-tune their literacy skills, work on character building and further develop their social skills. This is what I will leave behind, my footprint..
Making the transition from teaching/mentoring adults through Adult Education Programs and Life Success Skills for 30 years, to writing for children is quite a leap, but one that I am so thrilled to be a part of. He Loves Me by Abena Twumasi-Smith – buy a book for a child
I am so glad for the opportunity to support a great cause such as City Kidz. When I came to hear and learn about the great work CityKidz is doing in the city of Hamilton, it made me want to be a part of the vision and positive impact it is having in the lives of children. For this very reason I was inspired to put my books up to be used as a tool to help this program as well as provide a gift for the kids themselves.
I am the author of a children’s book titled “He Loves Me”. This book was written to illustrate the goodness of God from a child’s perspective in their “everyday” lives. From learning about themes such as forgiveness, love and patience, children can be reminded of all the people in their lives who love them…especially God.
