Each year thousands of children ages three to eleven get on a City Kidz™ bus to attend a Saturday program where they experience a powerful life-changing message of hope. Through one-on-one role-modeling and practical, dynamic teaching, utilizing songs, games and zany antics, City Kidz™ effectively builds hope, empowering children to “do what’s right” and follow their dreams.
Lynda, a Hamilton Police Officer says, “The City Kidz™ program builds hope into the lives of children and families living in the inner city and, in my opinion, it’s crime prevention at its best.”
Not only do hundreds of children attend the Saturday program but each week over 1800 children receive personal home visits from a dedicated team of volunteers. Role-modeling, building relationships, and providing practical assistance are just some of the keys to how we have effectively broken the cycle of poverty for countless childrens’ lives.
19-year-old Eddy says, “If it wasn’t for City Kidz™ I don’t know where I would be today. Maybe even jail.”

Eddy was only six years old when he first stepped onto the City Kidz™ bus. Growing up in poverty, Eddy’s future was bleak at best. Today, Eddy has a full time job, and is proud to be a regular volunteer at City Kidz™. He is just one of the countless lives that have been changed because of the programs provided by City Kidz™.
Hamilton Ward 3 Councilor Bernie Morrelli states, “If we have any hope for a positive future in our community, then children need to believe in their dreams and that’s just what City Kidz™ does.”
Every week hundreds of sponsored children receive a bus ride to and from the City Kidz™ program. Each week every child who attends City Kidz™ receives something to eat and a prize to take home, and each week every single child will receive a personal home visit from a caring, loving member of City Kidz™. All this and more is provided, at no cost, to the children.
