Where: Hamilton’s Red Hill
The race dates for 2010 have been set for November 5th to 7th. The marathon course proved to be fast, it has now been ranked as the #1 fastest Boston Marathon qualifying course in Canada! The run will be once again on the new Red Hill Valley Parkway, finishing along the gorgeous waterfront trail into Confederation Park.
Josephat Ongeri two time winner of the Road2Hope Marathon set a personal best of 2:15:51 in 2009’s race, and feels it is a very fast course, and plans on returning this year to defend his title. Registration opens in March, and the beautiful waterfront 5K & 10K events along with the #1 Boston Qualifier course in Canada should attract many participants. In order to keep the high standards that runners expect registration is limited to 4,000 participants. This year we will be featuring the 1KM Kids halloween costume run! Kids will be able to join with local team mascots as they run for fun! Plus a prize for the best costume (children 12 & under only). Not only is this is one of the best marathon events in the country, all proceeds will go to benefit The Joy & Hope of Haiti and City Kidz™. Plan now to attend! City Kidz™ Annual Dinner

Where: Carmen’s Banquet Centre, 1520 Stone Church Rd. Hamilton
Be sure to save the date for our 17th annual fundraising dinner, complete with live and silent auction! You will be inspired by the uplifting stories from our kids, and motivated to become involved after hearing directly from our Founder and Executive Director on the vision for the future. With over 900 in attendance each year, this event is not to be missed!

Steel Town Amazing Race

After the huge success in 2009, City Kidz is very excited to announce this years 3rd Annual Steel Town Amazing Race taking place on April 10, 2010 in our very own city. We encourage enthusiasts of the hit reality television show “The Amazing Race,” to create their own reality, to race the town and steel the glory! This event is sure to put Hamilton on the map, highlighting some of its best kept secrets and showing Hamilton as the Gem that it is.
Participants of the race will have to prove that they’ve got what it takes through a combination of tests and challenges, where not only their strength and endurance, but also their intellect and rationale will have to be at peak performance for them to come out on top. 2010 City Kidz Annual IRC Golf Tournament
When: July 27th, 2010
Where: Dundas Valley Golf & Curling Club, 10 Woodley’s Lane, Dundas, Ontario
Hosted by the IRC Group and held each year at the prestigious Dundas Valley Golf & Curling Club, if you are a golf enthusiast, or just like to be outside enjoying the beautiful outdoors, then you need to sign up for this event! Registration begins at 11:00, lunch is served at 12:00, with a 1 PM Scramble followed by dinner at 7:00pm. All proceeds directly support the children of City Kidz™. Due to the popularity of this event, register soon to reserve your spot.

B’nai Brith Celebrity Sports Dinner - Hamilton’s favourite celebrity sports dinner! With amazing professional atheletes and great food. A portion of the proceeds raised go towards City Kidz as well as other great charities in Hamilton. Plan to attend! Monday February 2nd, 2010
Mercanti Charity of Hope Annual Fundraiser – Friday, March 26th, 2010. The Charity of Hope is a foundation set up by the Mercanti family, to assist with alleviating some the stresses associated with children living in poverty. In 2003 the Charity of Hope launched its first official fundraiser with a portion of the proceeds benefiting City Kidz™ .
An Intimate Evening with Sarah Palin - Thursday April 15, 2010 – Come enjoy a fabulous three course gourmet dinner, premium open bar, and the company of others, while listening to one of the most influential women in politics speak.
