Because of this, we are motivated to do all we can to transform the lives of inner-city children, break the cycle of hopelessness and end child poverty.

Harley’s Angels and One Hit Wonders Steel the Glory at 3rd Annual Amazing Race

The 3rd Annual Steel Town Amazing Race to support City Kidz was held on Saturday April 10, 2010. It was a great sunny day for the 32 teams to race through our fine city! Leaving from St Mary’s High School in Dundas, the day was full of challenges from climbing a 30 foot poll at McMaster’s, tasting baby food, holding reptiles for a photo, to riding a mechanical bull at Dirty Dogs! Teams raised close to $17,000 to help City Kidz impact the over 2000 being reached each week.

The first three teams were The Harley’s Angels, The One Hit Wonders (who both hit the mat togehter to finish first) and The Cheeky Monkeys. All won entry into a City Chase Race of thier choice in Canada!

The City Kidz Christmas elves were busy this December picking up a generous toy donation of over 1300 toys from the triOS College. A great big thank you to our friends at triOS College and to all those who contributed. Your support will make a big difference in each of our children’s lives this Christmas.

Annual Charity Golf Tournament hosted by the IRC Group and held this year at Heron Point Golf Links in Alberton, Ontario.

Road 2 Hope Marathon

The race dates for 2012 have been set for November 3rd to 4th. The marathon course proved to be fast, it has now been ranked as the #1 fastest Boston Marathon qualifying course in Canada!
