Our Promise to You

We’re responsible: Each child—as well as their parents and families—extend their trust to us, and with that trust comes great responsibility. Our highest priority has been—and always will be—to ensure the safety and well-being of all children entrusted to our care. Our sense of responsibility extends to all aspects of the organization. Big or small, we will follow through with each of our commitments and fulfill each of our responsibilities to the best of our abilities.

We’re committed: “We’re here for the long haul.” In order to make a significant impact in the life of a child we believe that we need to be committed to them for the long term. Worthwhile endeavours take time; we have happily committed ourselves to the on-going process, for as long as it takes.

We have integrity: We must “do what we say, and say what we do.” We believe it’s important to live our lives according to our beliefs, which means striving to always doing what’s right.

We are all equal: We believe that all people are created equal. We will show love to all people and we will never judge people based on their race, creed, religion, ability or economic status.

Positive attitudes matter: We wholeheartedly agree that “our attitude determines our altitude.” Moreover, we believe that a positive attitude is simply the reflection of our core values. Therefore, we expect everyone in every aspect of the organization to always keep a positive attitude regardless of the situation or circumstance.

We’re accountable: We believe it’s important to be accountable for all our actions; to God, to our children, volunteers, employees, and donors. At CityKidz, clearly defined checks and balances are in place to ensure the organization is operating to the highest standards of accountability.

Excellence always: Every activity and function at CityKidz is implemented to our highest capable standards, whether it’s implementing a program or simply answering the phone. “If it’s worth doing, it’s worth doing well!”

Relationships matter: While programs can be effective at teaching truth, for the teachings to really take hold, they must also be role-modeled. The true success of CityKidz is derived from our strong relationships within our community. Whether it be with our children and their families, our volunteers and staff, or our supporters, creating and maintaining strong relationships is at the center of all we do.
