We’ve got a marathon’s worth of gratitude to everyone who ran, walked, jogged, collected pledges, donated and supported CityKidz at Road2Hope!
This past Saturday, 69 amazing individuals laced up to represent CityKidz at the Road2Hope marathon. Dozens more generously volunteered their time and their cheers to encourage them across the finish line. More still donated and helped us sail right on past our $15,000 fundraising goal to a whopping: $22,000!
This money will be used to support CityKidz programs such as our youth mentorship programs, CityYouth and Roadmaps to Dreams.
It was incredible to see all of the team spirit out there on Saturday and to see our youth so excited and proud of their accomplishment! The day was an absolute blast! Here are some of the highlights:
Thanks to one of our generous supporters, our youth runners each had a pair of colourful new kicks for the race.
Nothing but the highest spirits at the starting line for Cindy and our little sea of red-vested CityKidz runners.
No breaks necessary as this troupe of Team CityKidz skipped their way towards the halfway point.
Finishing strong! Many of our runners set personal bests!
This was the first race for many of our youth and each and every one of them crossed the finish line with impressive energy and radiant smiles!
Sending out HUGE thanks for the many ways that our team came together to make this race weekend a fantastic success by every measure.
