To commemorate Truth and Reconciliation Day, CityKidz Ottawa acknowledges that all our activities take place on the traditional and unceded territory of the Anishnaabeg People Algonquin Nation. The traditional territory of the Algonquin people has always included the Ottawa Valley and adjacent lands, straddling the border between what is now Quebec and Ontario. Unlike most of Ontario and the Prairies, Algonquin territory has never been dealt with by a land-sharing Treaty.

CityKidz Ottawa is proud to work in this beautiful territory, showing God’s love to children of all races and nations and are grateful for use of the land to move our mission forward.

On this important day of remembrance, we honour and pray for the healing of all Inuit, Metis and First Nations Residential School Survivors, who were harmed as children by horrendous abuses and their families, who have suffered intergenerational traumas, and for those who did not survive.
