Our Promise to You

1. We will always be transparent about who we are and what we do.
   You will know our mission, vision, and the impact your donations help us achieve. We will provide clear, accurate information about our programs, goals, and needs.
2. We will respect your wishes and intentions for your gift.
   Your donations will be used for the purposes you designate. If a gift cannot be used as intended, we will consult with you to determine an appropriate alternative.
3. We will protect your privacy and personal information.
   Your information will be safeguarded in accordance with Canadian privacy laws (PIPEDA). We will never sell, rent, or share your personal information or donor records. See our Privacy Policy for more details.
4. We will respect your communication preferences.
   You can decide how often and in what ways you hear from us. You may change or update your preferences at any time by contacting us.
5. We will acknowledge and thank you for your generosity.
   We will issue official donation receipts for eligible gifts and provide timely and sincere recognition, unless you choose to remain anonymous.
6. We will fundraise ethically and responsibly.
   CityKidz adheres to Imagine Canada’s Ethical Fundraising & Financial Accountability Code and follows CRA guidelines. Our fundraisers are salaried or contracted professionals — never paid commissions or percentage-based compensation.
7. We will be accountable to you and to the public.

8. We will maintain professional and respectful relationships.
   All CityKidz staff, volunteers, and representatives will engage with you in a manner that reflects our values of respect, integrity, and care.
9. We will respond to your questions and concerns.
   We are committed to honest, prompt, and thoughtful communication. If you have questions about how your gift is used or about our organization, we will provide timely answers.
10. We will provide clear options to opt out of communications.
    If you choose to reduce or stop communications, we will respect and act on your request promptly and respectfully.
