Before you make your decision, you may have questions.

Can I target my donation to a specific branch or does it just go into the general fund?

A gift made in Regina stays in Regina. And the same is true of gifts which specify Ottawa or Hamilton, too. Yes, 100% of your gift goes to the branch of your choosing and you will receive a tax receipt from that branch at the end of the year. You are also welcome to give “where the need is greatest” and your gift will go to our most urgent need.

If giving monthly, how can I increase or decrease my giving, or stop making payments altogether?

For any number of reasons, people make changes all the time. Please contact us by phone or email and we will take care of things quickly and to your satisfaction.

Concerned about my privacy, will you share or sell my information with any other organization?

Your privacy is very important to us. So have no fear, the simple answer is “no.” No, we do not trade, sell or otherwise share your information with any other charity or organization. Please feel free to read our Privacy Policy.

If I provide CityKidz with more than one gift during the year, will I receive multiple tax receipts throughout the year or just one each February?

Each February, we will issue you one cumulative tax receipt for any and all donations made during the previous calendar year.

Help, my personal information has changed, what do I do?

No problem! Please contact us by phone or email and we will happily update your address, credit card or any other personal information that may have changed.

Financial Accountability

Your resources are stewarded wisely.

Rest assured, we make every effort to ensure that at least 80 cents of every dollar goes directly to children’s programming and that administration (approx. 8% of our costs) and fundraising expenses (approx. 12%) are kept to an absolute minimum. Because our Ottawa and Regina branches are relatively new and have resulting one-time start-up costs that make our 80/20 target unachievable in the short-term, that is nonetheless our shared goal for them moving forward.
