We’ve got a place for you! There are so many ways that you can get involved and we just know you’re going to love it here!
Whether you choose to volunteer in an administrative role, assist with one of our fundraising events, or play an integral role to the operations of our spectacular Saturday program, you can be sure that City Kidz™ will become a place where you will love to spend time each and every week.
At City Kidz™, we believe that every action counts, that every small thing you do for a child in need, adds up to a very big difference in their lives. We also believe that God is calling each of us to be love in action, and one great way to do that, is by becoming a volunteer at City Kidz. Not only will you be giving back to a great cause, but in no time you’ll be impacting and improving the lives of our kids. How exciting!
At City Kidz™ we also believe that every child counts and that every child matters. That’s why all of our programs and initiatives are built around relationships. We are proud to say that we know every child by name, where they live, their challenges, their hopes, and their fears. Our objective is to let every child know that God created them with a purpose, a destiny, that He loves them, and has a plan for their lives. Volunteer Opportunities:
Below are just a few categories of roles you can fill as a volunteer at City Kidz. The descriptions are meant to give you only a brief overview of the responsibilities. Don’t worry though! You haven’t committed to anything just yet. You will have a chance to meet with a member of the Volunteer Leadership Team to learn more of the specifics prior to starting. Our aim is to find the perfect fit for your volunteer experience!
Programs and Initiatives:
These positions allow you front line, hands on opportunities, working directly with the kids of City Kidz. Each role varies in time commitment and responsibility. If being a direct influence into the lives of our kids is what’s important to you, then you will definitely want to check out this area. Some of the volunteer positions that are available are: Team Captains, Co-Captain, Team Members, Jr. Leadership, Saturday Cast Member, Kinder Kidz Leader, Home Visits, First Aid, Operations and Logistics, Bus Drivers, Admin Support.
Administration and Support:
Love kids, but prefer to stay behind the scenes to offer you time and talents? City Kidz is always in need of dedicated administrative and support volunteers who are detail oriented, and love to organize! While most of these opportunities exist during the work week, there still are plenty of opportunities to assist on Saturdays during the programs.
Operations, Maintenance and Logistics
If you love to be hands on, and know how to take things apart (and put them back together again) then this area might just be for you! This area of volunteering includes everything from assisting with maintenance projects, to traffic control each Saturday. Our operations team is critical to the success of all our programs and we are always in need of qualified, compentant people to help keep our kids safe, and the organization running effieciently!
Board of Directors and Advisors
Do people consider you wise? Do people constantly seek your advice? Board Members and advisors assist with the strategic direction of City Kidz, by using their knowledge and experience to help guide the organization, in it’s vision and mission. Typically members meet on a monthly basis and have involvement in the promotional and advocacy work of City Kidz. Individuals who seek to assist at this level should have been committed to City Kidz for a minimum of two years in another volunteer capacity.
Events, Fundraising and Development
Love to fundraise, run events or promote? We have plenty of opportunities for involvement on one of our many Fundraising event committees. Some of the events we hold each year are: Annual Supporters Dinner, Steel Town Amazing Race, Gift of Christmas Toy Drive, Leadership Breakfast, and Bikes for Kidz to name a few!
